1. Crop your picture. I use the free transform tool (ctrl t). Hold down shift or click the link at the top so it resizes evenly. Duplicate your base and set it to screen at 50% and filter > sharpen.

2. Add some selective coloring (layer > new adjustment layer > selective color)
Reds
Cyan: -60
Yellow: +31
Black: +5

Yellows
Cyan: -50
Yellow: -16
Black: +34

Whites
Yellow: -35
Black: -42

Neutrals
Magenta: +3
Yellow: +3
Black: +21

Blacks
Black: +50

3. Add a curves layer (layer > new adjustment layer > curves)
RGB
Input: 126
Output: 120

Blue
First point:
Input: 128
Output: 131

Second Point:
Input: 232
Output: 255

4. Add a couple of color fill layers. First layer will be #930000 set on exclusion at 10%. The second layer is #EEE0D2 set at soft light on 20%.
